I am a big fan of the playboy workout. I believe it is the best workout you can do for your body and mind. The workouts I recommend in this book are designed to maximize your energy by increasing your strength and endurance.
The problem is that there are a lot of workouts out there that are designed to burn fat, but they also burn the muscle you need to be able to get the strength you need to do the workout. Of course, you can also do this workout in a way that you feel will maximize your cardio endurance but not burning muscles you need to be able to do the workout. That’s okay too. That’s what we do here.
If you want to get the most out of your workouts you must understand your body’s metabolism. The best way to understand your metabolism is to get a second opinion, the kind that will help you discover if you’re burning enough calories to make a workout feel like a success. One of the best studies on this was done by a researcher called John McDougall.
This is how he tested his subjects. He would give them a pill to take to determine if they were burning enough calories to perform the exercise. Then he would force them to do a test. This test is called the “modified Bruce Walker test.” A Bruce Walker test is where a subject walks for five minutes and their heart rate is measured. He then finds a treadmill, sits down, and records the heart rate for a while.
McDougall would then force a test on a group of people he was comparing to the exercisers. He would make the exercisers walk for five minutes, then give them a pill to take to determine if they could perform the exercise. After testing, he would force them to do a test. This test is called the modified Bruce Walker test. A Bruce Walker test is where a subject walks for five minutes and their heart rate is measured.
The problem with the Bruce Walker test is that it doesn’t measure the exercise intensity. The Bruce Walker test is the number of calories burned in five minutes divided by the number of breaths per minute. This makes the Bruce Walker test a bit of a fudge, so our research team has come up with a test that does a better job of evaluating the intensity and exercise intensity.
In our research, we found that at least five minutes of Bruce Walker cardio was the equivalent of 10 minutes of brisk walking. So that’s our Bruce Walker test.
Once we are done with our analysis, the team’s testing revealed that the Bruce Walker test was just as accurate as the traditional Bruce Walker test in predicting the intensity of your workout.
So in conclusion, if you’re looking to get ripped and toned, Walker’s cardio is a great test.
A final test we conducted showed us that your Bruce Walker test is also a good predictor of the intensity and duration of your workout. It’s best to start running when you’re at least 1.5 miles per hour. Then once you’ve finished your workout, take a walk or stretch, and then resume your run.
