Editorial Team

Last updated: 25 July 2026

2 Forks Events is produced by an editorial team organised around our eight verticals. Because author transparency matters, this page explains how our team is structured, what each role covers, and how named editors and contributors are added to the masthead as the publication grows.

An honest note on this page. 2 Forks Events is newly launched. We describe the editorial roles below truthfully and do not attach invented names, photographs, or credentials to them. Until a role is filled by a named person whose background we can stand behind, work in that area is published under the 2 Forks Events Editorial byline, with a person on the desk accountable for it. We would rather be transparent about this than present a fabricated masthead — exactly the kind of “template site” practice a credible publication should avoid.

How our newsroom is organised

Our coverage is divided into eight verticals, and the editorial structure mirrors that division so each area has clear ownership and consistent standards. The roles below describe the responsibilities that make up our editorial operation. As the team grows, these responsibilities are held by named individuals whose profiles appear here and on the Masthead.

How we assign and edit work

Every piece we publish moves through a defined process: an idea is researched against authoritative sources; a draft is written by a named author or the desk; the draft is edited for accuracy, clarity, fairness, and honest framing; event details are fact-checked; and, where affiliate links appear, an FTC disclosure is placed above the body. Only then is a piece published, with publication and, where relevant, last-updated dates. This process is described more fully in our Editorial Policy.

What we look for in our people

Because ours is an event publication, we value people who combine genuine subject knowledge — music, weddings, hospitality, catering, or event operations — with the discipline of journalism: an ability to verify a fact, to write clearly, and to correct a mistake openly. We look for accuracy, fairness, independence, and a commitment to serving readers rather than advertisers. We are explicitly not looking for promotional writing, and we do not use our platform to advance the commercial interests of any event, venue, or vendor.

Corrections and accountability

Every article has someone responsible for it, and when we get something wrong we correct it promptly and log it publicly at /corrections/. Readers who believe we have erred, or who want to raise an editorial concern, can write to editorial@2forksevents.com. This openness — named responsibility, verified details, and public corrections — is what earns and keeps a reader’s trust.

Our expert contributor network

Alongside the core editorial team, 2 Forks Events draws on contributors with genuine expertise in specific corners of the event world — wedding planners, hospitality and catering professionals, music writers, and event operators — who write in their area of knowledge. Contributors are credited by name with their background, so readers can weigh their perspective, and their work is edited and fact-checked to the same standard as everything else we publish. Contributors write to inform readers, not to promote their own businesses; our contribution guidelines make that clear.

Diversity of coverage and perspective

The world of events is enormous, and no small team can cover all of it equally. We are candid that our coverage is selective, and we aim over time to broaden the range of events, places, and perspectives we represent. Where tastes and traditions differ — in weddings especially — we try to reflect that range rather than assume a single default.

Working with us responsibly

Everyone who writes or edits for 2 Forks Events works within the standards on this page and across our policies: named bylines, verified details, honest disclosure of any affiliate or access arrangements, and a commitment to correcting mistakes openly. That is what lets a reader trust that a byline on our site means what it says.

How we handle tips and access

We welcome tips from readers and from the event industry about tours, festivals, openings, and developments. Tips are assessed on their merits and verified against authoritative sources before anything is published; a tip is a starting point for reporting, not something we publish on trust. Where we receive review access or invitations to events, that access informs honest coverage and is disclosed where relevant — it never buys favourable treatment, and our reviewers say what they actually think.

Our commitment to readers

Everything our team does is in service of one thing: being useful and trustworthy to a reader making a real decision about an event. That means verified details they can rely on, honest recommendations undistorted by commission, clear disclosure of how we make money, and corrections in public when we get something wrong. As the team grows and named editors and contributors join the masthead, that commitment stays constant — it is the reason the publication exists.
